Hmmm… Sounds like I might not be too crazy about new Megadeth, but then again, I can be wrong when second-guessing myself.

Voivod isn’t a black metal band though. I don’t mind Pink Floyd from time to time but 1349 shouldn’t be covering them any more than Slayer should be covering Carrie Underwood. The new Megadeth wasn’t bad, but their best since they reformed is still The System Has Failed. They are not the same band as the Rust In Peace days so if you’re expecting that high energy sound forget it. Dave still writes some killer riffs though. I did not like their previous album, Washington Is Next at all. One would think, since I write a blog about heavy metal in DC, I would love it but it sucks. End Game is quite an improvement.

How was End Game anyway? I stopped listening to new Megadeth albums after Rust In Peace. It got too singy. But my tates have broadened since then.
