Cool review of a show that I decided to skip. I checked out LSOD on myspace, and I wasn't impressed. I also listened to most of SepticFlesh's 'Communion' album through myspace, since that whole album is streamable, and I thought it was very dull as a whole. I just wasn't in the mood for this show. Shining's absence was the definite turning point in my decision; Behemoth, alone, couldn't pull me in.

I saw Jucifer and Salome in Baltimore the night before, and that pretty much obliterated any chance of Behemoth topping it; a great show to bring in the new year! I will be seeing the two later tonight at the Black Cat, and I'm expected another intense, stellar performance from the two.

Thanks for heads up on the new look of the concert hall. I went to Jaxx on Saturday to buy my Týr/Korpiklaani and Suffocation/Goatwhore/DevilDriver tickets, and I was stunned by the new, cleaner, greener look of just the lobby. I'm excited to experience that extra room by the merch table.

Have fun at Pentagram. I'll probably end up regretting that I missed them again, but I'll be witnessing both the mighty Nile and Immolation crushing Baltimore the same night.
