Richmond natives Lamb Of God are headlining a show at the 9:30 Club this Saturday the 28th of January 2012 and DCHeavyMetal.com is giving away a pair of tickets to one of you lucky readers of the site. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post below telling me what heavy metal band you’d really like to see headline the 9:30 Club next. Make sure you enter in a valid email address you check regularly when you submit your comment so I can contact you if you win, though it doesn’t need to be in the comment itself. On Friday, January 27th at 4pm EST the contest will close and I’ll select a winner at random (using Random.org) from all the comments below to win the pair of tickets. Lamb Of God is touring with The Acacia Strain, Too Late The Hero and Make Like Murder. This will be one of the first concerts of Lamb Of God’s tour to support their new album, Resolution, which is coming out January 24th! The doors open at 7pm for this show. Normally I’d post a link to where you can buy tickets but as you can see here this show has now sold out. If you slept on this one now is your last chance to get tickets. Since most bands I love are either too big or too small for the 9:30, I have two main options: either the Mastodon tour with Opeth and Ghost (greatest line-up I’ve seen in a loooong time) since Mastodon and Opeth are both bands that play 9:30-esque clubs or maybe the Deftones, I think they’ve played the 9:30 before.
I would love a Dillinger headline with a bunch of awesome more technical bands supporting them. I think it is awesome they played with Mastodon and Deftones recently, but I would like something that really fits musically with their style.
I would like to see Gojira at the 9:30 club!!!
I would like to see Neurosis headline at the 9:30 club. I hope they will tour and actually hit the east coast once they finish recording their new album.
It would be nice to see the BEHEMOTH / WATAIN tour play the 930 instead of Rams Head. 930 is the classic DC venue. Been seeing shows there since 1988 ( the old one and the new one)

I have nothing fancy to say, or anything to catch your eye outside saying they are an awesome band and would be a great graduation gift for my daughter and a good send off for her into the service this summer.
I would LOVE to see Parkway Drive play soon! I know of some good shows coming up in March throughout the area but Feb. or April needs a few more heavy shows!
Also Devil Driver or Arch Enemy would be cool. But Lamb of God would be fantastic to see so here’s to hoping!
